Obsessed!
Yep! That is little B! And I cannot wait to kiss those cheeks over and over again!
Baby Girl and I had a nice little (Loooooong) chat on Tuesday after our Ultrasound though. She is breech and I'm not pleased with her behavior. I am trying to convince her to flip over so I don't have to have a scheduled C-Section. It is so not part of my plan!
I may have had a mild breakdown about it last night talking to J. I know she still has time to flip and I have found some stretches to help that happen but I'm nervous.
I'm actually more nervous about a C-Section than I am about the possibility of delivering naturally. I feel like I could possibly be cheated out of an experience that I really want to have. I know, I know the pain, yadda yadda yadda, I feel like this is something that I should get to do. J thinks it might not be such a bad thing seeing as how I have had so many back issues in my life that maybe she is doing this to protect us. And he thinks that she doesn't want an egg shaped head. ;) Oh I was glad for that laugh last night.
And I'll leave you with one more picture of the little lady! :)

What a Weekend!
I had been having funny constant cramps all.day.long. on Friday. You know the kind ladies, the kind if your blessed like me (HA) you get once a month. Well being 30 weeks pregnant I knew that wasn't the reason for my cramps. I stayed at work all day just thinking it was no big deal and they would go away but on the way home they started getting worse. After being advised to go to Labor & Delivery that's where we went.
Turns out I was having contractions every 2 minutes! Lasting 60 -70 seconds each! Not what I wanted or expected to hear. Turns out it was due to dehydration. I got 2 bags of IV fluids and the contractions pretty much stopped. SO RELIEVED! They had to stop. First because Little B is NOT allowed to come out yet. Second because...
We were going to the Hawks game with some friends on Saturday! Thankfully the DR gave me permission to go (after trying to convince us we should give him our tickets of course.) The game was AMAZING! The Hawks tied it up with about 13 seconds left in the 3rd period and won it in OT! WAHOOO! The United Center went nuts. The floor was shaking it was so loud in there. And baby girl loved every second of it. Every time we go to the game she doesn't stop moving.
Today mommy came over again to work more on the room (she was here Thursday too.) We got so much done the last couple trips. The tree has been finished and on Thursday I got the changing table assembled. Today we got the barn started, the crib assembled and some birdhouses painted. L-O-V-I-N-G the way it is turning out! Here are some pics.

Friday Favorites
This week I can't choose 1 so you get 2 top favs!
Lilacs.
Lilacs always make me think of my Gram and the walks we used to take when I was a little girl. There was a house a few down from hers that had lilac bushes and we would always go pick some. I remember feeling nervous that the people that lived there would be mad but they never said anything. :) So since our lilacs are blooming this week I had J take my weekly belly pics out by my fav flowers!
30 Weeks! I can't believe it!
and Blizzards. No, of course not the snow kind. I HATE those. The DQ kind... I'm sorta in L.O.V.E. with them right now. In fact since DQ is doing buy one get one for 25 cents this week I may have gone once or twice and gotten extras to save in my freezer. Don't judge me I'm pregnant and I love a good deal! ;)
My weakness is chocolate ice cream with M&Ms. SOOOOO Yummy!

Little B's Room
My cousin did a garden theme in her kids room and we are borrowing some of her stencils! Thanks!! So far on Saturday we got most of the apple tree done and a row of sunflowers under the window in her room. I felt quite accomplished (especially since thats all we knew for sure where we wanted them. This week I plan on assembling at least her crib if not both the crib and changing table to get a better idea of where we want the furniture so we can decide where we want the rest of the stencils and details in the room.
Here are some pics of our progress since last time.
Keep in mind there will be more branches and obviously apples in the apple tree. And the bottom looks a little weird 'cause of the ledge but it will be hidden by the crib or changing table.
Sunday was an amazing day!! J & I slept in, layed on the sofa talking about how our life together has gone and how happy we are to have this little girl joining our family. Then we got up got ready and went to the Hawks game!! WAHOOOO! They won. It would have been terrible if they lost that game and been down by 2 heading to Nashville for the series. It was an exciting game and we were very happy with the shut out!

Well I had fun!
I have to say though I had a great weekend! Friday I got to leave work 1/2 hour early to go to the movies with Mom and Dad. (Just one perk of working for your dad.) We saw The Last Song. It was better than I was expecting since I loved the book. (I sobbed for over an hour when I read it.) And miss Miley Cyrus didn't annoy me too much. But after the movie Mom and I had a party to go to. It didn't start until 10PM. I'M TOO OLD AND PREGNANT to start partying that late. But it was for my sissy's boyfriend so of course we went. It was a surprise 26th B-day party. We went a bit early to help set up and I got some snuggle time in with my little nephew so I consider the night a success!
Saturday mom and I went shopping since I spent the night at their house. We were looking for something I need for Little B's room decor and may have found what we need. Not sure yet, need to show J the options. Then we spent what felt like 4 hours in Babies R Us, even though it was less than 1. My mom has a bunch of baby showers to go to (and one to plan) so it was quite the productive trip. But man was I exhausted when I got home!! The best part of the shopping trip was the cute dress I got for little B for next summer. I LOVE IT!
Which brings me to Sunday! Loved our day Sunday. We obviously went to the Hawks game and it was a great game up until that stupid goal. I'm kinda bitter about it. After the game we went to my sissy and her boyfriends house to hang out while mom babysat for a while. Little man is an angel! I got to snuggle him for almost 2 hours! I loved it.

Excitement All Around
Meeting our first little nephew has made J and I even more excited to meet our little miss. I can't believe that in 12 weeks (give or take) she will be in my arms! This is flying by! And there is so much to do to get ready for her. I'm not convinced we will get it all done.
Our To Do List consists of the following:
Renovate our bathroom and utility room. How fair is it that our utility room is 4Xs the size of our ONLY bathroom? Stupid old farmhouse. ;) Confession time: I'm kinda glad I won't be able to do much to help!
Decorate and Set up Little B's room
Build a deck and put in a hot tub
Go on a mini-vacation. Location yet to be determined.
Attend Both of our baby showers, write thank yous, and organize all of the presents for Little B.
I'm sure there are countless other things I'm just not thinking of at the moment due to pregnancy brain.
So lets back up to our mini-vaca quickly. We cannot decide where to go! J is hesitant to go to FL because we have been there (and I'll be going again in Sept) but I'm kinda pushing for it. I would like to park my butt in a beach chair with a good book and a good margarita (though that part won't happen) worrying about nothing except if I have enough sunscreen on and where to get our next delish meal.
Now lets back up a little farther to Little B's room. It is going to be a farm theme which is quite appropriate for our house. My mom came over last weekend and we got the base painting done! YAY! But there is still so much to do. One wall will be done to look like a barn wall, and then we will be stenciling an apple tree and some other fun things on the walls. I can't wait to see the end result.
Before and During Pics:
I'll give it a shot.
2 of my girlfriends have convinced me to give this a shot so here I am.
One of these lovely ladies gave me the nickname PBJ back when we were planning our weddings on the knot which is how we came up with the name for the blog.
So I guess I should introduce myself ... I'm P, my husband is J and we are expecting our first little baby. We got married 9/5/08 and it was the most fun day I have ever had in my life. Nothing could have ruined our day. Since our honeymoon we pretty much gutted most of our house. (It is a farm house from the 1870s.) At some point I'll try and do a post of our renovations. Now flash forward a little over a year and we decided to expand our new family! Little B doesn't have a name quite yet but we know that she is a she! and will be joining the world sometime late June or early July. (Cross your fingers for a 4th of July baby please!)
If I actually keep up with this blog it will be a random combo of life. Remodels, Recipes, Random Thoughts, Random Stories and Pictures. Expect LOTS of pictures. Especially since J got me a Nikon D5000 for Christmas! Love that man! And even more because I won't be able to stop photographing little B. J thinks her first word will be Nikon since it will be in her face so much.
Ok well lets see how I do with this new venture of mine. Hope you (and I) enjoy!
